The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has tasks its members on the need to get their Permanent Voter Cards. The call was made as the fastest growing Pentecostal Church in world flagged off its political awareness campaign tagged “Let My People Vote”.
The epoch making event which was held June 15 at the Church’s Youth Centre at the Redeem Camp, Lagoa-Ibadan Expressway, signaled the beginning of what many described as a revolutionary move by the RCCG.
It was a forum where Christians were enlightened on need to play a very active role in the process that would lead to a new political dispensation come 2019 when the country will once again go to the polls.
Speaking at the event, Pastor Ola Adejubee, the Assistant Pastor in Charge of RCCG Region 1 who also is the coordinator of this grand breaking initiative, revealed that the whole ceremony was the vision of the General Overseer, Pastor E.A Adeboye, during the annual ministers thanksgiving in January this year.

He went further to narrate how the General Overseer, shook the ministers when he instructed them to go and collect their PVCs. If the statement came as a surprise to the ministers, he said that they were mostly dumbfounded when in August last year, during the RCCG annual ministers conference, Adeboye had asked them to go and join any political party of their choice. This time, it was with an emotional laden voice’, he disclosed.
